J.WALKER BLENDER’S BATCH RED RYE FINISH

  İlk olarak 2016 son baharında tanıştığımız Emma Walker ve Jim Beveridge imzalı J.Walker ailesinin yeni üyesi artık bizlerle beraber.

Büyük usta Jim Beveridge ‘in yıllar evvel hizmet ettiği Amerikan viski sektöründeki tecrübesi bu viskiye oldukça fazla yansımış. Zira bu viskiyi ilk olarak bir kör tadımda yudumlamış olsaydık bir bourbon viskiye çok benzetebilirdik.

Karışımına hizmet eden sadece 4 adet viski var. Bildiklerimiz Black Label’ın kalbi olan Cardhu ve Grain viski damıtım evi olan Port Dundas’a ait ki bence bu harmanda ki etkisi de oldukça fazla.

Burundaki Bourbon çağırışımına ve öne çıkan tahılımsı yapıya destek vanilya, karamel, kavrulmuş fındık gibi tatlımsılığı kuvvetlendiren notalardan geliyor. Tabiki floral aromaların katkısını da unutmamak gerekiyor.

Damakta dengeli, tatlımsı yapıya Black Label’daki kadar olmasa da tarçın gibi baharatlar hizmet etmekte.

Kısa – orta arası uzunluğa sahip bu yeni harman viski çiçek balı, kakao gibi tatlımsı notlar ile bize veda etmekte.

Özellikle üzerinde tarçın gezdirilmiş tatlı bir elma ile tüketmeniz bence lezzetine lezzet katacaktır

The new member of the J.Walker family signed by Emma Walker and Jim Beveridge, which we first met in the autumn of 2016, is now with us.

Grandmaster Jim Beveridge’s experience in the American whisky industry, which he served years ago, is reflected in this whisky. Because if we had sipped this whisky for the first time in a blind tasting, we would have likened it very much to a bourbon whisky.

There are only 4 whiskies serving in the blend. The ones we know belong to Cardhu, the heart of Black Label, and Port Dundas, the distillery of Grain whisky, which I think has a great influence on this blend.

The Bourbon connotation on the nose and the prominent grainy structure are supported by notes such as vanilla, caramel, roasted hazelnuts that reinforce the sweetness. Of course, the contribution of floral aromas should not be forgotten.

On the palate, the balanced, sweet structure is served by spices such as cinnamon, although not as much as in Black Label.

This new blend whisky, which has a short to medium length, bids us farewell with sweet notes such as floral honey and cocoa.

I think consuming it especially with a sweet apple sprinkled with cinnamon will add flavour to its taste.
