LAPHROAIG PX CASK

Bu sene aramıza katılan ve Duty Free’lerde satışa sunulan bir diğer Laphroaig ekspresyonunun da bilgilerini sizlerle paylaşmak istiyorum.

Bu ekspresyon diğer Laphroaig çeşitlerinden farklı, farklı olmasının en büyük sebebi PX yani Pedro Ximenez fıçılarda daha fazla süre ile olgunlaştırılmasıdır. Aslında olgunlaştırma sürecinde Amerikan meşesi, çeyrek fıçı da kullanılmıştır ancak asıl karakterini PX fıçıdan alıyor. Son aşamada kullanılan PX cask isli ve kuvvetli yapıya zengin tatlı bir meyvemsilik ve gövde kazandırıyor.

RENK : Eski .mat altın

BURUN : Burunda ilk olarak şeri fıçıdan gelen kuru üzüm aroması ön planda tabiki bölgeye has isi de unutmamak gerekir.

DAMAK : Damakta is ve meşe çok kuvvetli, damakta resmen patlıyorlar. Şeri meşe bu güçlü etkiyi biraz olsun hafifletmeye yaramış.

BİTİŞ : Damakta derin bir kuruluk hakim ama turba ve şeri muhteşem bir uyum içerisinde.

 I would like to share with you the information of another Laphroaig expression that joined us this year and is available for sale in Duty Free.

This expression is different from other Laphroaig varieties, the main reason for its difference is that it is matured in PX, Pedro Ximenez barrels for more time. In fact, American oak and quarter barrels were also used in the maturation process, but it gets its main character from the PX cask. The PX cask used in the last stage gives a rich sweet fruitiness and body to the sooty and strong structure.

COLOUR : Old .matt gold

NOSE : In the nose, first of all, the raisin aroma coming from the sherry barrel is at the forefront, of course, we should not forget the soot specific to the region.

PALATE : Soot and oak are very strong on the palate, they literally explode on the palate. Sherry oak helped to mitigate this strong effect a little bit.

FINISH : There is a deep dryness on the palate but the peat and sherry are in perfect harmony.
